Q: What should I do if I lose my User ID or Password?

You can use the reset password feature on the NYK Line website if you know your User ID but you lost your Password. A temporary password will be sent to your registered e-Mail address. Follow the instructions provided in the e-Mail to reset your Password. To reset your password, please Click Here. If you have lost your User ID, or you require assistance with your User ID/Password, then please contact NYK Line using our convenient on-line Contact NYK page. Q: The Application Overview page Chinese or Japanese text isn't rendering in my browser. How can I fix this?
A:
If you are having trouble reading Chinese and Japanese characters on our website, it may be because your browser does not support those languages. The best solution to this problem is to download and install the latest version of Internet Explorer or Netscape. As an alternative, you can change the settings for the browser you are currently using:

For Internet Explorer (IE): Point your mouse to View > Encoding > Auto-Select from the browser's drop-down menus. If your browser is not showing an Auto-Select option, or if you are still experiencing errors, look up "languages" in the Help interface. Under the topic labeled "To correctly display web pages encoded in any language," follow the link and instructions to install the multi-language support pack.

For Netscape: Point your mouse to View > Character Coding > Auto-Detect from the browser's drop-down menus. In the submenu that follows, choose the language you would like Netscape to recognize. If your browser is not showing an Auto-Select option, or if you are still experiencing errors, look up "languages" in the Help interface, and read the topic labeled "Using Languages and International Content" for further suggestions.

When you have set your browser to properly interpret international characters, visit NYK's Application Overview and choose your language of preference from the top right corner of the page.

Q: Which browsers does NYK Line support?

We currently support the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 and 7
To use our Bill of Lading Processing, we require the following browser parameter settings:
Cookies must be enabled
JavaScript must be enabled
Java must be enabled
Our Internet B/L Print functionality (Print Draft, Non-Negotiable, Print Final) requires the installation of a Java Plug-In (v.1.5.0 or higher). Additionally, we offer a convenient e-Mail PDF Printing option.
